Are You Deficient in Omega-3 Fatty Acids? by Chris Barakat

Are you deficient in Omega-3 Fatty Acids? Omega-3 fatty acids, specifically eicosapentaenoic acid (#EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (#DHA) are two essential fatty acids that many of us do not consume an adequate amount of.

Because these nutrients are "essential" this means our bodies can not produce them on its own, & consuming them through our diet is crucial for our health.

Anywhere from 70-86% of Americans are deficient in Omega 3 consumption.

Most people only consume .1 - .2 grams per day but research shows you should at least consume .5 g/day & that multiple health markers are optimized when consuming anywhere from 4-6g per day!

That is a very large range but it's important to understand the difference between "recommended daily intake"(RDI) and "optimal intake". RDIs are values suggested to "prevent disease" but there is a big difference between not being sick, & being as healthy as you can be!

Deficiency of Omega 3 fatty acids often leads to fatigue, poor cognition/memory, distributed mood/ depression, increased risk of cardiovascular disease & many other negative symptoms.

You can increase your Omega 3 intake in your diet by consuming more of the following foods. Some examples being, fatty fish, Grassfed meats, free-range egg yolk, flaxseed, walnuts, chia seeds, & spinach.

Another way to increase your Omega 3 consumption is through supplementation.

However, a lot of "fish oil" supplements on the market are very low quality, potentially high in mercury, & possibly more detrimental to your health than beneficial. Because of that, it's important to do your research & utilize a supplement of the highest quality & standards.

@revive_md uses the highest quality ingredients for all products and our Omega nutraceutical is no different. Each soft-gel contains 950mg of Omega 3s (430mg EPA, 390mg DHA). This highly refined, highly concentrated product is sourced from waters of the Chilean coast (one of the most sustainable sources in the world) naturally low in pollutants and further distilled to reduce containments as much possible!
